Thanksgiving Tartan

I got in the holiday spirit today with this red and green tartan ensemble and it couldn't have been more perfect for the occasion. Not only was it festive, it was loose fitting to accommodate for the pound of mashed potatoes I ate :). I wore this same dress more casually to a Friendsgiving celebration earlier this week and don't worry, pictures are coming soon!

Rainy Day Stripes

Today I switched up the look of this jacket from my last post for a more casual look. Paired with Bean Boots and a long sleeve tee, it's the perfect rainy day outfit for fall.

Breaking Out The Boots

Temps have finally cooled down in NC. After that heat wave a few weeks ago I thought I would never have the chance to pull out my boots. For brunch yesterday morning, I paired them with the cutest wool skirt I got on major sale from Brooks Brothers (it has puppies embroidered on it)! While the jacket is more of a rain coat, it was the perfect weight to throw on over a sweater on a chilly morning.

Yellow Raincoat

It has been raining all week, so I finally had a chance to pull out this raincoat I picked up on major sale earlier this fall! It's a thicker material, so it's perfect since the weather has started to cool down. It has the cutest details, too (like the anchor buttons and blue gingham lining)! Since the yellow is such a statement, I kept the rest of my outfit pretty neutral with some of my favorite staple pieces.

For all of those who were worried: I'm alive!! October was crazy busy, but I applied to college, finished my last high school golf season, and cut my hair so I'm ready for November (and plenty of new blog posts)!
After seeing this dress on Sydney's blog I had to find an excuse to buy it. Homecoming was the perfect opportunity and at under $70 it was a great option!  I paired it with some comfy cheetah print flats (which accentuated my sock tan very nicely). The fit was so fun and I love the low cut back with the bow. Very Kate-Spade-esque.
